Brown Park OSLAD Survey

The Rockford Park District is applying for an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to invest in Brown Park. If the Rockford Park District receives this grant, the funds would be utilized to renovate the existing playground, and various park amenities could also be improved. The playground is beyond its useful life and ready to be replaced. Neighborhood parks play a vital role in the health and well-being of our community and enhancing them continues to be one of the Rockford Park District’s highest priorities, as voiced by the citizens we serve.

We want your feedback! To guide playground renovations and consider possible additional amenities, we’d like to hear your ideas. This project is about creating an even better experience for everyone and ensuring that all residents have access to safe, high-quality recreation spaces.
